Red Team Eliminated From Hell's Kitchen After Pizza Challenge Loss

Hell's Kitchen moved production to Connecticut this season, a region frequently cited as the pizza capital of the United States. The change in location set the stage for a competitive challenge that determined which team would survive the week.

Chefs on both teams competed in a pizza making test. Each team received seven pans, and ingredients were hidden inside stacks of boxes in the dining room. The blue team secured a four to three victory over the red team. The winners received a dinner at The Bedford by Martha Stewart, a spa day at The Norwich Spa at Foxwoods, and personal Ooni pizza ovens.

The red team faced a physical punishment for losing the challenge. Members had to break apart lobster by hand during dinner service. Mya Gonsalves used her punishment pass to swap with Miguel Soliz, allowing her to join the blue team for the rewards while he stayed behind.

Dinner service brought celebrity guests to the kitchens. Doug E. Fresh dined in the blue kitchen, while Matt Rife, the owner of the Ed and Lorraine Warren house, sat in the red kitchen. The red team struggled immediately. Nadia Phillips and Joy Shi served undercooked and overcooked seafood from the fish station. Sandra LeClerc dropped a pizza on the floor and served another to Rife with a hair in it.

Gordon Ramsay dismissed the red team from service after observing a breakdown in communication. He told the group, "I am lost for words," before asking them to select two members for elimination. The team voted to put Budich and Shi on the chopping block due to their errors on the fish station.

Ramsay selected Joy Shi to leave the competition. The blue team had a smoother evening, with only a minor issue involving an overcooked pizza. Ramsay described their service as one of their best. The show teases an all out war among the remaining red team members in the upcoming episode.

Episode seven airs on Fox next Thursday. The episode will stream on Hulu starting November 6.
