The Milwaukee Brewers will close major downtown streets on Friday morning to host a championship parade. The event marks the end of the team's World Series run and requires extensive road closures for residents and workers.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. on October 30. Road closures along the downtown route will take effect at 7 a.m. that same day. The procession starts at the intersection of Vel R. Phillips and Wisconsin avenues.

The route moves east on Wisconsin Avenue, then north on Jefferson Street. It continues east on Mason Street, south on Jackson Street, and east on Chicago Street. The event concludes at Henry Maier Festival Park.

City officials will close streets adjacent to the parade path. Roads one block north and south of the route will be closed as the group moves east. Streets one block east and west will close as the group moves south. The Wisconsin Avenue bridge over the Wisconsin River will be fully closed to the public.

The Milwaukee County Transit System will adjust bus service to match the event. Routes 1, 12, 18, 57, and the GreenLine will stop near the parade path and the festival park. Temporary detours will affect downtown and lakefront roads from approximately 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Fans can park at American Family Field for free. Shuttle tickets to the rally cost $5 per person. Proceeds from the shuttles will go to the Brewers Community Foundation. Drivers must park in the lot assigned at purchase and arrive 30 minutes before their time slot.

Shuttles will depart American Family Field starting at 7 a.m. The final outbound bus leaves at 11:30 a.m. Return trips are included in the ticket price.
