A source close to Bravo production alleges that Kelli Potter and Angela Oakley were involved in a minor physical altercation while filming Season 18 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. According to the report, Potter struck Oakley with her crutches during the scuffle.
De’Asia Robinson, Managing Editor at The Neighborhood Talk, shared details from the source on November 1. Robinson noted that production staff interviewed both women after the incident to discuss what happened, though it is unclear if any disciplinary action was taken. Robinson said The Neighborhood Talk reached out to Potter for comment but did not receive a response.
Oakley appeared unbothered by the alleged incident when speaking with Robinson at Bravo Fan Fest. The source also claimed that a former housewife unexpectedly appeared during the cast’s trip to the Bahamas. This mystery woman allegedly offered to film with the current Season 18 cast for free. The source suggested the woman was invited by a current cast member, but her identity has not been confirmed.
Fans immediately speculated that NeNe Leakes or Kenya Moore might be the mystery former housewife. Leakes denied the rumors, telling a fan on social media, “Desperate it could NEVER be me.” Moore recently vacationed in the Bahamas with her daughter, Brooklyn, around the same time as the cast. Moore was previously removed from the show in 2024 following an incident involving images of rookie cast member Brittany Eady.
The tension between Potter and Oakley began well before the alleged crutch incident. In August, the two traded pointed remarks on social media regarding real estate and personal finances. Potter shared a screenshot of a $2 million property listed as pre-foreclosure, asking, “This is the $2 million house we’re speaking of?” She added, “BABY This is your MARITAL HOME, not an investment property.”
Potter also questioned Oakley’s financial history, referencing a reported lifetime ban from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Oakley responded on X, stating the property was an investment home she purchased with over $1 million in equity. She said she recently renovated the home with $500,000 in cash and that she and her husband still own their marital home.
Oakley also accused Potter of not reaching out to her following the death of Oakley’s mother. The next scheduled event for the cast is the premiere of Season 18, which will air on Bravo. Production has not confirmed the final list of cast members or the specific outcome of the alleged altercation.
