Bristol Rovers fans face uncertainty regarding the availability of key players ahead of a Saturday match at Fleetwood Town. Manager Steve Evans confirmed on Thursday that the squad will evaluate several athletes during afternoon training to finalize the lineup. The club seeks to field its strongest possible XI after a recent 0-0 draw with Swindon Town halted a losing streak of five consecutive games.

Striker Ellis Harrison, who missed the Swindon contest due to an injury to the bottom of his foot, remains a doubt. Evans stated that Harrison has not trained during the current week. The manager noted that the team will place Harrison on the grass later in the day to test his ability to bear weight. Evans described the squad as understocked in terms of player availability and emphasized focusing on those who can perform rather than those who cannot.

Centre back Kofi Balmer is confirmed to miss the trip to Fleetwood due to a one-game suspension. Balmer received his fifth booking of the season during consecutive matches against Salford City and Swindon Town. Evans praised Balmer as a key contributor to the team's defensive structure since his arrival. He indicated that other defenders, including Keenan Gough, who performed well in his recent substitute appearance, can assume the role.

The attack presents additional challenges. Bristol Rovers have scored only four goals in October. Winger Bobby Kamwa sustained a concern during the Swindon match and was substituted eight minutes after entering the game. Evans has not ruled him out, but his status is less certain than that of other forwards.

Arvin Appiah, who has accumulated 41 league minutes since joining the club earlier in the month, is now cleared to play. Evans told Bristol Live that Appiah is ready for action. The manager explained that he has prepared two different tactical shapes for the upcoming match, one featuring Appiah and one without him. The final decision will be made after training concludes tomorrow.

The squad will make its final selection based on the outcomes of the afternoon assessment. Evans indicated that the team will prioritize players who can compete effectively at Fleetwood. The decision on Harrison and Appiah will follow the physical tests scheduled for today.
