The Milwaukee Brewers secured their first World Series championship, ending a decades long wait for a title in the city's professional baseball history.

The franchise has existed since the 1969 expansion, but this marks the only time they have won the World Series. The team's previous appearance in the postseason finals occurred in 1982, a run that did not result in a trophy. The current victory concludes a championship run that fans watched unfold over the entire series.

Hope Seegert, a local resident, attended the parade to commemorate the achievement. She noted that her family enjoyed every game of the series together. "We have absolutely enjoyed every game of the series together, and so to be able to be here and watch this with Bob looking down on us is amazing," she said. Her brother Ben Seegert described the event as a special time in both Milwaukee and baseball history. He observed that seeing the memorial mural of Bob Uecker overlooking the celebration added a unique layer to the occasion.

Rob Jankowski watched the parade with his son Aaron. Jankowski recalled being younger than Aaron was during the 1982 World Series. He acknowledged that the 1982 team did not win the championship. "I was younger, a little bit younger than he was at the ’82 Series, and unfortunately they didn’t make it back then," Jankowski said. "But it’s kind of cool to see. All right, we’re finally there."

Aaron Jankowski expressed surprise at the outcome. "This is just insane," he said. "I didn’t think this would happen." He looked forward to seeing specific players, including William Contreras, pass by during the route. Rob Jankowski emphasized the value of sharing the moment with his family. "I couldn’t be more proud, and it’s kind of cool to see something like this and have a family part of it," he said. "So it’s a moment definitely where we’ll remember."

The celebration took place near the Bob Uecker Memorial Mural in downtown Milwaukee. Fans gathered in large numbers to watch the team roll through the city. The event served as a culmination for families who followed the team throughout the season. The presence of the mural connected the current victory to the historical legacy of the team's former announcer.
