Portland State University fans can watch ten basketball games without a cable subscription this season.
Rose City SportsNet will air five men's games and five women's games for free over the air during the 2026-27 season. This expansion brings the total number of Portland State sporting events on the regional network to 15. The slate follows the network's previous coverage of all five Vikings home football games this fall.
The over-the-air signal reaches more than 1 million households across the Portland area, including Salem and Vancouver, Washington. Viewers can access the channel via an antenna on Channel 49.1 or on cable Channel 13. The high-definition cable channel is 713. Portland State home games will also stream on ESPN+.
Corey Hanson, regional vice president and general manager of RCSN and KPTV, stated that the network was created on the belief that local sports belong to the entire community. "By bringing Portland State basketball to over one million homes alongside our football coverage, we're deepening our investment in local collegiate athletics," Hanson said.
The first televised game is scheduled for December 5 when the men's team faces Idaho. The women's team plays its first broadcast game against Utah Tech on January 7. The season concludes with a men's game against Northern Colorado on February 27 and a women's game against Northern Arizona on February 22.
Rose City SportsNet is a joint venture between Gray Media's KPTV and RAJ Sports. RAJ Sports also owns the Portland Thorns and the Portland Fire. The network serves as the official broadcast partner for both professional franchises.
