Woodbine Aide Charged: 29 Child Pornography Counts Filed

Shaun Stebbins, a 44-year-old former pre-kindergarten teacher's aide, was charged Oct. 30 with 29 counts of manufacturing child pornography, adding to a case that began with his March arrest in Somers Point. The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced the new counts after a months-long review of evidence collected since that first arrest.

Prosecutors also charged him with 5 counts of aggravated sexual assault, 13 counts of sexual assault by sexual contact, and 14 counts of endangering the welfare of a child. The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said a search of Stebbins' electronic devices turned up numerous images and videos of students from Woodbine Elementary School. Authorities have released no further details on the newly filed charges.

Stebbins worked at Woodbine Elementary School in Cape May County from 2022 until his arrest on March 29, 2026. He was originally charged with sexually abusing four children over more than a decade at his home in Somers Point. The case opened after one victim, now an adult, came forward; detectives later identified three additional victims, all siblings.

Investigators kept examining evidence after the March arrest to determine whether additional crimes occurred. Woodbine Elementary School did not respond to a request for comment. Stebbins' court dates on the new counts were not listed in the announcement.
