The Green Bay Packers defeated the Carolina Panthers 27-19 on Thursday night in a game decided by defensive stops late in the fourth quarter. Green Bay managed to secure the win despite committing three turnovers, a performance that tested the depth of their roster against a Carolina squad that pushed back in the final minutes.

Quarterback Jordan Love completed 30 of 41 passes for 288 yards, adding one interception. He threw touchdown passes to tight end Tucker Kraft, wide receiver Matthew Golden, and running back Josh Jacobs. Jacobs also scored on a one-yard run, finishing the game with 39 rushing yards on 21 carries against the league's lowest-ranked run defense.

The Packers took command early in the second half. After trailing 13-10, Green Bay extended its lead to 27-10 with a touchdown pass from Love to Jacobs. The score held until the third quarter, when the Packers increased their advantage to 27-13 before a late-game shift in momentum.

Carolina began its comeback in the fourth quarter. Bryce Young threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Jalen Coker on a fourth-and-three play with 5:37 remaining, cutting the deficit to 27-19. The Panthers failed to convert the two-point attempt, leaving them needing a touchdown to force overtime.

Carolina received the ball at its own 45-yard line with 2:41 left on the clock. The offense moved the ball but failed to convert on a fourth down play at midfield. With 22 seconds remaining and no timeouts, the Panthers faced a final opportunity from their own 20-yard line.

Edge rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton recorded the decisive sack on that final play, ending the game and the Panthers' comeback attempt. Young finished the contest 23 of 31 for 209 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Running back Chuba Hubbard carried 22 times for 81 yards and added a touchdown on the ground.

The game featured several injury updates. Packers wide receiver Christian Watson returned to the field after suffering a chest injury on a 53-yard catch in the second quarter. Carolina cornerback Will Lee exited the game on a cart with a hamstring injury on the same play. The Panthers already have three cornerbacks on injured reserve, including Jaycee Horn.

Green Bay improved to 5-3, while Carolina fell to 3-4. Both teams return to action on Nov. 8, with the Packers traveling to New England and the Panthers hosting Denver.
