Nothing Ear 3A earbuds are currently available for $79 at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy. The price represents a $20 reduction from the standard cost and matches the lowest price recorded for the product to date. All four color options for the earbuds are included in this discount.
The earbuds feature active noise cancellation and extensive equalizer controls. These tools allow users to adjust the sound profile to their preference. John Higgins, a colleague at The Verge, noted that the default sound setting leans too heavily on bass. However, he found the adjustment process straightforward. This level of customization is unusual for earbuds in this price range.
The noise cancellation system effectively reduces low-frequency sounds such as air conditioners and airplane cabin hum. It does not completely eliminate higher-pitched noises like people talking in a coffee shop. Testers identified some technical bugs during evaluation. These included abrupt shifts in noise cancellation levels when using adaptive mode and occasional issues with voice calls in loud environments.
The earbuds ship in several colors, including a distinct pink shade. Each pair includes extra-small ear tips to improve fit comfort. The devices also contain a shortcut to access ChatGPT. They include 32MB of built-in storage, which allows users to record up to two hours of phone calls. Users can transfer these recordings through the companion app.
