Players who bought One Piece: Grand Gourmet on October 23, 2026, received a restaurant management game that asks them to run a floating eatery across the Grand Line. The title is built around feeding every character from the anime series. It demands that users satisfy the dietary needs of the entire cast to progress.

The game launched on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, and Android. Bandai Namco publishes the title, while Kairosoft handles development. Kairosoft is the same studio behind Game Dev Story. The suggested retail price is 15.99 British pounds. The age rating is 7.

The narrative begins after a storm separates Luffy and Sanji from the rest of the Straw Hat crew. A group of impostors steals their identities and opens a rival restaurant ship called the Baratie. This fake establishment damages the reputation of the original Baratie, which Sanji helped found. Luffy responds by building a second Baratie ship. His goal is to outcook the rivals in a culinary battle across the seas.

The gameplay loop involves managing a vessel that starts with one table and wooden decor. Characters move as small, pixelated figures. The aesthetic is retro. As the player travels from the Sea of Beginnings to the Sea of Seasons and the Ever-Changing Sea, they must chase the fake Baratie. The player must keep up with the rivals' business activities.

The interface presents a high volume of notifications, interactions, and cutscenes. The reviewer noted that the frequency of these popups made the experience feel passive. It often felt like watching events unfold rather than controlling them. The core task is keeping customers fed while managing a complex system of requests.

Customers demand specific items to become fans. They want new gimmicks like optician shops or performance areas. They also request specific gifts. Each customer requires a unique dish or feature to return. In exchange, they provide money, coins, and likes. The player uses these resources to build new sections of the ship.

Sanji cooks the ingredients gathered from quests. He creates themed recipes that form set menus. At the end of each level, a cooking showdown occurs. Sanji pits his best menu against the fake Baratie's menu. The reviewer found this mechanic frustrating and unnecessary. The background music is bland, and the gameplay feels clunky.

The visual design becomes cluttered quickly. Swimming pools sit next to giant crab enclosures. Buffet areas face table clusters. Aquariums are scattered randomly. The reviewer described the layout as a recipe for madness. The game received a rating of 5 out of 10. Pros include the ability to make dishes from the anime. Cons include the clutter and the difficulty for non-fans to understand the lore.
