The Big Ten schedule has compressed the autumn for several teams, forcing them to manage long stretches between games. The University of Washington Huskies are one of those squads, currently navigating a difficult road sequence.

Washington (4-3, 1-3 Big Ten) travels to Lincoln, Nebraska, to face the Cornhuskers (5-2, 2-2) this Saturday at 5 p.m. PT. The contest will air on the Big Ten Network and stream on FOX One. Both teams took a bye week last week, allowing them to rest before this mid-season meeting.

Nebraska enters the game after losing its last two contests by three points apiece to Indiana and Oregon. The Huskies, conversely, improved their record with a 38-26 victory over Purdue. That win kept Washington's season alive despite a challenging start to the conference portion of their schedule.

The Huskies face a logistical hurdle ahead. They have only one home game scheduled over the next 41 days. That contest is the November 7 Homecoming game against Penn State at Husky Stadium. This matchup marks the first time the Nittany Lions have played in Seattle in 105 years.

Individual performances have defined the season thus far. Punter Hunter Green leads the Big Ten with a 47.9-yard average. Quarterback Demond Williams Jr. recently became only the third signal-caller in school history to reach 1,000 career rushing yards. The team is also pacing ahead of last year's record for starts by first-year players, with five multi-game starters combining for 28 starts.

Radio coverage will run on the Washington Sports Network from Learfield. Elise Woodward, former tight end Cameron Cleeland, and Dave Mahler will provide the call on Seattle's SportsRadio KJR 93.3 FM. The broadcast begins four hours before kickoff and is available on the Huskies Gameday and Varsity apps. Sirius XM listeners can tune to FOX Sports on channel 83 or Sports 979 Play By Play on channel 979.

The Huskies return to Seattle after the Lincoln game. The Penn State contest serves as the final home date before the season concludes its road-heavy stretch.
