Viewers tuning in to USA Network at 8 p.m. Eastern Time tonight will see a SmackDown episode controlled entirely by wrestler Danhausen. The special, branded as Danhausen's Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown, marks a shift in the weekly program's format for this Halloween week. The show airs on Friday, October 30.
The main event features Sami Zayn defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Trick Williams. Zayn secured the title on Monday's Raw by defeating Je'Von Evans in an impromptu match. His victory was narrow, prompting World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns to suggest Zayn might not hold the belt until the WWE Crown Jewel event. Zayn used his post-match microphone segment to ask the audience and locker room to acknowledge his status as champion.
In the women's division, WWE Women's Champion Chelsea Green defends her title against WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella. Green recently beat Nia Jax and Roxanne Perez to keep her championship. Bella has characterized Green as a bootleg version of herself. The winner of this match will face Women's World Champion Liv Morgan at WWE Crown Jewel.
The card also includes the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship match between Rey Fenix and Ricky Saints. Saints lost the title two weeks ago after shoving the referee and being disqualified. That incident escalated their rivalry, leading to a second title defense for Fenix on tonight's show.
The broadcast includes commentary and segments designed to fit the spooky theme of the evening. Danhausen, who has been central to recent WWE storylines, presents the entire program. The show runs for its standard duration on the USA Network channel.
